The Health Access After Hours GP service in Gippsland is ending April 12 2026 — here’s how to access care from 13 April 2026

Over the past three years, the Health Access After Hours service—delivered in partnership between Gippsland PHN and The Healthy Communities Foundation Australia—has provided over 3000 GP consultations to people across the Gippsland community. We are proud to have delivered a much-needed service to communities across the region.

How can I access care from April 13?
Access to health care is now available 24/7 through the below services:

Call 1800 Medicare on 1800 633 422 - a free, 24/7 helpline where you can speak to a registered nurse about any health concern. The 1800 Medicare app also allows you to:

View vaccinations and immunisations

Access your medical history

Check test results, including pathology results

Store electronic prescriptions and view your Active Script List

Find and book health services

Access Medicare information and claims
